Spring Break!

We had a stay-cation for spring break. The kids were out of school for a whole week! We tried to do something fun each day. They were out of school April 9th-13th and had 2 weekends in there. It was a great spring break.

Monday: Well, Monday after Easter, we cleaned the house. I know its not fun but it needed to be done.

Tuesday: We went to IKEA. Kids eat free on Tuesdays! Awesome! It was $2 for the kids and I to eat lunch. Can't beat that! Then we went to Gardner Village. The kids really enjoyed going there, of course we missed grandma and had to cry by the water wheel, but it was a good cry. We miss you grandma!
Wednesday: We stayed home and played in the sprinklers. The kids put the sprinkler under the trampoline. Good times!
Thursday: We met grandma and papa at Trafalga and made our passes. Grandma bought the whole family Seven Peaks Pass of all Passes for Easter! We can go to Trafalga or Seven Peaks any time we want for a year! Awesome!! We checked it out and rode the carousel. It started to rain so we didn't stay very long. But it will be fun to take the kids all summer. Most of their friends have the passes too so we can take friends!!
Friday: We stayed home. It was kinda rainy. The kids like to take all their blankets downstairs and watch movies. So that is what we did.
Saturday: We went to Fillmore and cleaned our house. It really needed it. (Note to self: If you rent your house to someone make sure they pay a cleaning deposit!) It was also Carson's Baptism. It was a nice baptism. Funny story: Carson's toe popped up out of the water, so instead of doing it again, Uncle Shane just dunked him down deeper without letting Carson come up for air. Carson thought that was pretty cool! Hayden said the closing prayer, he did a good job. It was a fun weekend!

So that is a summary of our spring break. Sure, the kids would have loved going to the beach for spring break but it just wasn't in the cards this year. Maybe next year! I still think we had a great week.

Eggs, Candy, and Popcorn, Oh My!

Happy Easter! The Easter bunny found us on Saturday morning!
The kids got buckets with their names on, filled with lots of goodies!
Claire Bear and her bucket! She got makeup!!
Hayden loves Buzz, how did the Easter Bunny know? :)
Emmie Lou is not so sure about all this! But she got makeup so that was exciting!
                                                         Luke got a little basketball!
He named his big basketball "George" so this new one is "George Jr."
                                                         Brinley loves purple!
(She is wearing a sweatshirt with Minnie Mouse on it, it was mine when I was little! Awesome!)
Audrey is getting to be so grown up! But she still loves her a good Barbie! She got Tinkerbell!
Easter Egg Hunt at Creekside Park! The park is just down the street from our house! It was a beautiful day!!
Some of the eggs had numbers on them. If you got a number egg you could trade it for a prize. We got 3 prize eggs, we won a kite, makeup, and a backpack! Luke was out numbered in his age group. He didn't get a single egg! But his brother and sisters shared with him!
All together now, AAAWWW! Good job family!
After the Easter egg hunt we went to Kohlers. We went on a scavenger hunt around the store and ended up finding the Easter Bunny and cookies! It was a lot of fun!
We made Easter Ears and got a balloon. The balloons were only for kids 8 and under. Brinley and Audrey were pretty bummed about that :(
When we first got there, we saw one floating away, it was heading to Grandma and Chance in Heaven!

After lunch we took the kids to the Discovery Park. It was a great Saturday!

On Sunday, Grandma and Papa took us to the movie! We saw "Mirror Mirror", it was a cute movie about Snow White. You should have seen the mess of popcorn we left behind! Then papa treated us to Wiener schnitzel. Chili dogs are the bomb, so is Grandma and Papa! What a wonderful Easter! We had such a great day with family. I am so grateful for my family. I am grateful for my savior, Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to live in this great place and time. I am blessed to have my family. Even though there are days that I just want to pull my hair out, I know the Lord loves me and I am doing my best. I love love love my family and we had a wonderful Easter weekend!

George's Singing Competition!!

George participated in the Vocal Sport Singing competition on Wednesday March 14, 2012. It was at the Covey Center for the Arts. He did awesome! He dedicated the song to Chance Timothy O'Camb, our sweet little angel that would be 7 like his twin brother Luke. Love you Chance! George sang "To where you are" by Josh Groban. It was beautiful.
The video is a little sketchy but we had just sat down and then it was his turn so I didn't have a chance to focus the camera. I did have a mommy moment right in the middle of his performance, oops! Emmie got up and wanted to sit on my lap and I said "Don't, watch daddy" right in to the microphone. But trying to get 6 kids quiet to watch dad sing was really testing my patience. But we did it and you can hear the kids cheer "Good job Daddy-O"  Good job, daddy! You did awesome! http://youtu.be/nvTQB8hayfM check it out!

"Reflection"

Last night was a singing competition that Brinley participated in. It was called Vocal Sport. It was at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo, Utah. She was in a category of 5-11 year old boys and girls. She sang "Reflection" from Mulan. She wore her black and hot pink dress that she wore in the pageant. She looked Beautiful!
Brinley and I went to the competition together. Audrey stayed home and babysat the kids. It was fun getting to spend time with just Brinley. She is a lot of fun and a great girl! I am so proud of her.

We got there at 4:30 for dress rehearsal. Grandma and Papa came. Brinley loved that they came to support her! They arrived around 6 and brought us some yummy dinner from Texas Roadhouse. We had a fun picnic outside!
The competition started at 7. She was the 6th contestant to perform. She did AWESOME!! She didn't win but we are sooo proud of her just for getting on the stage and doing her best! Good job Brinley! (and good job Audrey for babysitting!)Check out Brinley on Youtube!

Our trip to the Zoo!

Anna, Owen, EmmieLou, and Claire! Good Buddies!

They loved the train!

Last Thursday, the 8th of March, Traci and I took our little kids to the Hogle Zoo. It was sooo much fun. It was a cold day so there was hardly anybody there. We took Claire, EmmieLou, Anna and Owen. The little kids never get to do anything fun with friends so we spent a really fun day with them. They loved watching the monkeys! We got to see them eat their lunch. Some monkeys got carrots and brocolli and others got maggots and strawberries. What a combination! It was alot of fun just hanging out with the little ones. Can't wait to go back!

Audrey's 6th Grade Valentine Dance!

                                                       Emmie Lou, Audrey, and Claire

                                                             ?, Izzy, Audrey and Jordan
I am kind of behind but I wanted to put on here pictures from Audrey's school dance. Alpine Elementary 6th grade Valentine Dance! The 6th grade has been learning dances in P.E. so they planned a dance to show us what they learned. They learned the cha-cha, two step, waltz, and some line dances. They decorated the gym with lots of hearts and cute valentine posters. It was really cute. The boys had to wear shirt and ties and the girls had to wear a sunday dress. Audrey got a new dress from Justice. She looked beautiful as always!
There were boys choice dances so that means Audrey danced with a boy! Need  I remind you, she is only 11! There were girls choice dances too. It was really cute to see them do the waltz. Audrey was really good at the electric slide! It was a fun day.
The 6th grade teachers did a great job! Even Miss Larsen, the principal, was cuttin a rug!

George's 40th Birthday Party!!

Saturday was George's 40th Birthday Party! It was a lot of fun. We had a full house, it was great. My whole family came, except Bryce, he was working :(  And George's family came except for Cheryl and Mike. Pretty good turn out! Travis Stevens came, he has been one of George's life long friends. He was at George's 11th birthday. George found a picture from his 11th birthday and we tried to recreate it. It was a lot of fun. Audrey and Brinley put together a poster of some of George's pictures. They arranged them so the pictures made a 40. It was a good day hanging out with family.

George, Steve, Trav, Jen, Lindy, Audrey, Kaydee, Emmie!
Brinley took this picture of their 40 poster!

Oh my! Look at all those candles!! 40 to be exact!
                                                                Luke likes cupcakes!

The highlight was the kids dancing! Oh my, Emmie is such a ham. She was dancing and shaking her little booty. All the kids joined in. We even got George to sing!! He is participating in a singing competition in March so he sang the song he will be performing. More about that later!

Double Coupon Tuesdays!

I know it's Friday but I want to tell ya about my shopping trip on Tuesday. The Walmart near me, located in Cedar Hills, doubles coupons on Tuesdays! I repeat, doubles coupons on Tuesdays! It is awesome. I spent $78.05 on 62 items. Next time I will take a picture of all the groceries I got. Just to name a few: bag of frozen chicken, rice, sugar, tinfoil, syrup, cereal, biscuits, granola bars, bananas, apples, oranges and a whole lot more! I even got a movie for the kids! I saved $37 with coupons! So my new plan is to shop on Tuesdays and then take a picture of all the groceries and the receipt, in case you doubt me :) I like to shop and enjoy a little retail therapy! But lets face it, groceries are boring! Next payday I want to go shopping for clothes! My mom is the best shopper. She finds the best things on clearance. Let's hope I can find a good deal!

My new Blog!

So I thought I would start a blog, haha, let's see how it goes! First, I want to say that I love my blog's name! My grandma, love her dearly, would always serve must-goes. It was everything in her fridge that needed to go. This must go and this must go and so on. Always good and you never knew what you were gonna get. All your favorite things all on one plate! So my blog is going to be about everything that must go. All my favorite things all in one place!
Today, my favorite thing is my grandma. She passed away in September 2010. I miss her so much. She was always sending us cards and writing letters. I have saved all the cards she has sent the kids. They enjoy reading them. She would add little pieces of paper or stickers to the cards to personalize them for the kids, adding must-goes wherever she could. Hopefully, as I write about my must-goes, my family can read it and know how much I love them! So this blog is for you, grandma. Love you!
